How do I get prints or save these photos...? : About print sizes:

(be sure to read the picture captions below each photo, for specific instructions)

A tip about getting the best print: the camera takes a picture that has one side longer than the other. This is known as aspect ratio if you care, and it is 3:2. This means that to get the best print, you need to choose a size that is 3:2, like 4x6 (6x4=3x2) or 6x9, 8x12, 12x18, 14x21, 16x24, 18x27, 20x30 sized paper. But, of course, frames are hard to find in some of these sizes (8x12?), so if you print 3:2 pictures on these other sizes, like 8x10, 5x7, or 11x14, you will loose some of the image or end up with white space around the edges. This is known as 'crop' and you can crop the photo to fit in the print ordering cart.

For some pictures here, I have made them into 8x10 to avoid this issue. You will recognize these as more 'square' than others. If you use the Smugmug print service, it will guide you thru getting the right print sizes: http://www.smugmug.com/help/digital-prints

If you prefer a certain size, and want a photo of that size, please give me a call, and I will create a file for you that will print perfect for your frame.
